What You'll Do:
- Quality Assurance Program Ownership: Establish and implement a comprehensive Quality Assurance program tailored to the autonomous vehicle mobility and delivery fleets, in partnership with internal subject matter experts, leveraging industry standards.
- Audit Management: Manage a team of assessors responsible for conducting thorough audits of Fleet Partners, measuring adherence to the operational and quality standards developed, and supporting action plans for improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of QA processes, identifying areas for improvement and driving initiatives for quality enhancements.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, preparing detailed reports to communicate findings and recommendations to partners and stakeholders.
- Compliance Management: Collaborate closely with Uber’s regulatory, safety, and legal teams, as well as applicable external partners, remaining informed on current regulations and ensuring operational standards are adjusted to reflect adherence.
- Positive Quality Culture: Foster a quality-centered culture internally and externally providing leadership, training, and support to foster continued success for Uber.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or compliance management within the automotive or technology sectors
- Strong experience and understanding of AV technologies and applicable industry regulations.
- Deep understanding of QA processes and methodologies
- Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in QA metrics
- Ability to travel to support partnerships and operations nationwide

- Data-driven decision making mentality, sound business judgment, and the ability to back analysis up with relevant analytical thinking
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Experience in managing and developing dynamic teams
- Experience managing safety, quality assurance, or compliance functions within autonomous vehicle operations, specifically.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements or policies with external partners
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or similar certifications.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$140,000 per year - USD$155,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$155,000 per year - USD$172,000 per year.
For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
For Pittsburgh, PA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$155,000 per year - USD$172,000 per year.
