DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Provide secure, highly available, scalable database services that improve overall resiliency and functionality, and enable operational management optimization. Migrate database servers from standalone instances to Oracle multi-tenancy in Oracle 19c. Responsible for Oracle DB encryption and implementation of operational task automation using Shell scripts, Perl, and Python. Perform backups on ZDLRA. Provide Oracle Exadata database administration provisioning, patching, and upgrades of all associated Exadata components including Cluster ware, Storage cells, InfiniBand switches and database instances. Implement adequate levels of auditing and review database audit logs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, Team Lead (IT), or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, Team Lead (IT), or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Oracle; Linux; Shell Scripting; SQL Server; AWS Cloud Services; RMAN; Performance Tuning; and Python.
