Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting, design, and construction services for various municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients over a wide variety of fields including water, wastewater, and water resources.
- Prepare detailed structural design drawings, calculations, and construction specifications. - Coordinate structural project work with architectural, civil, process, mechanical, and electrical engineering staff.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor less experienced and remote design and engineering personnel.
- Participate in planning, cost development, scheduling for assigned projects, discipline management, and project management (if interested)
- Utilize structural analysis software for structural designs while applying a comprehensive understanding of structural engineering, principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application.
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience as a structural engineer primarily in the water/wastewater/water resources field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida - Experience with U.S. building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 350, and AISC
- Knowledge of principles and practices of wind and seismic design, including ability to apply required provisions of the building code. - Experience working in a multi-discipline project team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 15+ years of experience as a structural engineer primarily in the water/wastewater/water resources design field
- Structural Engineer (SE) having passed the 16-hour SE exam by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) - Experience with STAAD Pro, TEDDS, RAM, Autodesk Revit, MicroStation, Mathcad, Bluebeam, and/or BIM skillset
