AWS Serverless Compute Fabric, at the heart of the Serverless movement, is a fast growing currently internal service that is becoming the default compute infrastructure for a wide range of applications including Lambda.In this role you will help deliver feature in the Compute platform space for Serverless applications. You will on-board new architecture types, drive continued improvement of our security barrier, and optimize the performance of the compute platform from the metal upwards. You will get the opportunity to use modern programming languages like Rust and Go, and cutting edge virtualization like Firecracker to push the limits of scale. This position involves on-call responsibilities. This is typically done once every 8 weeks. We strive to keep this down and ensure our systems are fault tolerant. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
