The complexity of research and skills for this role is well beyond basic data entry and research. It involves complex analysis and diving deep into key metrics based on requests, building and maintaining multiple databases, knowledge of software applications to create tools, and understanding of multiple programming languages.
Responsibilities:
* Design, write, and drive detailed specifications for development and maintenance of a robust reporting system measuring and driving content operations process improvement in throughout, cycle-time, and cost
* Drive development of quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of metrics
* Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
* Develop queries for ad hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting
* Managing AWS account and maintain the Redshift clusterThe following provides additional detail of the job duties and responsibilities.
Manipulate/mine data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle) using SQL.
Manipulate/mine data from log files by writing scripts
Develop analytical tools: deep-dive tools, UIs, metrics, and dashboardsEffectively communicate (written and verbal) solutions and methodologies to senior leadership

- Experience managing a data or BI team
