:

  • Design, develop and implement Mainframe and Midrange system engineering activities to include OS technical support, systems programming, and data center capabilities.

  • Test and build auto-deployment packages for Product rollouts. Understand product roadmaps, assess impact and develop strategies.

  • Support components of complex engineering and / or analytical tasks and activities.

  • Establish input / output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total systems.

  • Adequately support Management activities such as assessing Mainframe/Midrange SMEs, handling escalations, and planning/resolving risk/audit issues.

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

  • Supervise and assign work to programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel.

  • Supervise the work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific person.

  • Design, plan and implement solutions on Enterprise Job Scheduling technologies using CA7, CA11, Datacom, TWSz, Autosys, Oracle for zOS and RHEL platforms.

  • Design, develop and debug scripts in REXX, JCL, Perl, Shell Script, Java, PL/SQL on zOS and RHEL platforms.

  • Design, Plan and Implement Disaster Recovery scenarios for CA7, TWSz and Autosys on zOS and RHEL platforms.

  • Develop Proof of Concept for upgrading IT product environments to the Vendor’s latest architecture/version for Mainframe and Midrange technologies such as Autosys, CA7, CA11, Datacom, DB2, DWC, TWSz and custom Web applications.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, CIS, MIS or related; and

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Design, plan and implement solutions on Enterprise Job Scheduling technologies using CA7, CA11, Datacom, TWSz, Autosys, Oracle for zOS and RHEL platforms;

  • Design, develop and debug scripts in REXX, JCL, Perl, Shell Script, Java, PL/SQL on zOS and RHEL platforms;
