Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements
• Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions
• Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues
• Analyze information and make evaluative judgements to recommend solutions and improvements
• Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications
• Assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
• Develop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• Must Haves

• Strong in Java 8 + Concepts
• Hands-on coding skills in Java 8 and higher version
• Working knowledge of Spring boot and REST API
• Understanding of test-driven development using Junit, Mockitio.
• Understanding of microservices architecture concepts
• Hands on understanding on Relational database like Oracle, Postgres
• Good interpersonal skills
• Attitude for continuous learning
• Problem solving skills.
• Proven track record of working independently on business requirement from inception till completion.
• Proven track record of interacting with wide variety of stakeholders for requirement completion.
• Proven track record in design walk-throughs, executing proof of concepts.
• Strong credentials in acquiring new skills and applying the same in the ongoing project setup.
• Familiarity with core java design patterns
• Experience of working in Agile Scrum team

• Nice to have

• Familiarity with application containerization using Docker, Openshift
• Familiarity with Dev-Ops concepts and CI CD tool like Jenkin, Urban Code Deploy, Harness

• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

• Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
• Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

• Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
