Our group:
The Hardware R&D group oversees the development of complex machines performing optical and electron microscopy. Our tools are used for the inspection of semiconductors wafers during the fabrication process of microchips.
As a Mechanical Engineering Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to various projects within the dynamic mechanical engineering department. This role is designed to provide you with practical knowledge and skills that will complement your academic studies.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
- Create and update CAD models and drawings using software such as SolidWorks.
- Conduct setups, measurements, and experiments both in the lab and on the production floor
- Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs and ensure they meetspecifications.
- Visit and collaborate with technical vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and field service, to ensure designs are feasible and meet project requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering from well know universities having between 9 to 15 months to finish the studies.
- Able to work at least 22 hours per week
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Recommendation from mentor is an advantage.
