Your Role and Responsibilities

Ideal candidate will have deep Microsoft skills:

  • Cloud skills in Azure (Hybrid Cloud and Networking) – ie. Entra ID
  • Microsoft Active Directory – design, implementation, migration, hardening, optimization
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Certificate Services
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • Microsoft Azure A5 Feature Implementation
    • Defender for Endpoint, Identity, M365
    • Sentinel
    • MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, etc.
  • Consulting (IE. IT Environment Optimization, Auditing Existing Environments such as Entra ID for best practices)

Additional required skills:

  • Wireless Authentication (Radius, WPA 2/3, Certificate-based, etc.)
  • Creating reports, delivering customer presentations, explaining complex technical solutions to non-IT clients

Optional nice-to-have skills:

  • Networking (IE. Cisco, Aruba/HP, Meraki, Juniper)
  • Firewalls (IE. PAN, Fortinet)
  • VMware, Datacentre installs, Hybrid Cloud Migrations, Backup Architecture (Veeam), Disaster Recovery implementations

Position Description:
We are looking for an IT Specialist to support IBM clients through contracted technical engagements in both a remote/virtual and customer onsite capacity. Required skills include high level capability and experience with Microsoft-based solutions such as Cloud skills in Azure (Hybrid Cloud and Networking), Entra ID, Microsoft Active Directory (design, implementation, migration, hardening, optimization), PowerShell scripting, Certificate Services, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure A5 Feature Implementation (Defender for Endpoint, Identity, M365, Sentinel, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, etc), Consulting (IE. IT Environment Optimization, Auditing Existing Environments such as Entra ID for best practices). Additional required skillset includes Wireless Authentication capability. Job responsibilities will also include client consultation, solution design, implementation and optimization engagements. Communications, both written and oral, are an important part of this position. The ideal candidate would be adept at delivering customer presentations and explaining complex technical solutions to non-IT clients.

The salary range for the position is $93,000 – $139,600 based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate salary within this range may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience for this position.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Post Secondary Technical Degree/Diploma/Certification(s)
  • Recent Technical Certification (within the last 5 years)
  • Written and Oral Communication, Meeting Facilitation and Customer Presentation skills are necessary
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years experience working in the IT Industry
  • Fluent English speaking


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 15 years experience working in the Canadian IT Industry
  • Experience working in the Education sector
  • Experience consulting, creating reports, delivering presentations to large groups, and implementing proposed solutions
