Job Summary
Theis responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of tools and equipment used in the manufacturing process. Their primary goal is to optimize production by implementing efficient, high-quality tooling solutions.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design and manufacture tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Collaborate with production and design teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct tests and evaluations of tools to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Identify and resolve tooling-related issues.
- Implement continuous improvements in production processes.
- Maintain technical documentation of tools and processes.
- Generate and implement cost-reduction ideas.
- Design and optimize molds for injection, blow molding, and other plastic forming processes.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and maintenance history of tools and molds.
- Customer contact.
Experience we are looking to incorporate into our team:
- Degree in Engineering or a completed Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in the plastics or metalworking industry.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and 3D modeling, including SolidWorks and NX.
- Knowledge of CNC.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
- Previous experience in the design and manufacturing of tooling and molds for plastics.
- Hands-on experience with conventional machinery.
- Experience with plastic injection molds.
- Personnel management experience.
- Advanced English proficiency.
