NOTE: In order to be considered for this internship you need to be enrolled in higher education for the entire duration of the internship.

As an intern, you'll play a key role in optimizing a scalable Python-based framework that organizes and holds all the data related to robot modeling and description. You’ll work with multiple teams to ensure the system supports various output structures and formats, helping automate and streamline processes across the organization. This internship will offer hands-on experience with Python code architecture, data modeling, and building essential tools for robot simulation and actuator/linkage design.

We’re looking for motivated, self-starting interns who are eager to learn, solve complex problems, and contribute to a real-world software engineering project.

What You’ll Do
  • Optimize and extend a Python-based framework that organizes robot data and descriptions.
  • Develop tools to support actuator design, and linkage modeling using MATLAB (and MATLAB App Designer framework)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of the framework and automation of key processes
  • Contribute to writing clean, maintainable code, and documenting software designs.
  • Support testing and debugging of the system to ensure reliability.
What You’ll Bring
  • Active studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (must remain an active student throughout the internship)
  • Strong interest in software architecture, and data modeling, and Python programming (experience in MATLAB is a plus)
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software development best practices.
  • Some familiarity with robotics concepts or simulation tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
