As a Application Technology Support III team member in Engineering Platforms & Experience team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.
Job responsibilities
- Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
- Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
- Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development and operation teams to ensure smooth software releases and deployments.
- Monitor system performance and identify areas to improve in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution to ensure proper configuration management and version control practices.
- Participate in incident response and resolution, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hand on experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
- Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
- Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Expertise in a development language such as Java or Python or scripting languages such as Java Script, Bash or PowerShell.
- Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, etc.
- Experience with micro-services, Unix, Linux
- Experience of Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, Test Driven Development etc)
- Experience in a DevOps or support role, working with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation.
- Hands-On knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Participate in weekends on call support, on rotation basis.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
- Experience in data mining and querying against databases
- Experience and comfortable working in a high paced dynamic environment
