Qualifications
- 10+ years professional software development with the following C#/C++, KQL, Python, Azure Synapse
- 8+ years of professional experience designing, building, and running Azure Cloud Services on a large scale
- 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring and managing teams of security / site reliability / software engineers.
- Excellent analytical skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written. We are a distributed team so we’re extra mindful about communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead and expand a team of engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions, while promoting a growth mindset, diversity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrate leadership through the Model-Coach-Care approach.
- Oversee the identification of dependencies and the creation of architecture and design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms.
- Guide the engineering team through all stages of development, including testing, release, monitoring, and live site operations.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture, design, code reviews, development, quality assurance, and live site management.
- Communicate progress, risks, issues, and achievements clearly with stakeholders and leadership.
- Collaborate with other Engineering Managers and Product Managers on cross-team initiatives as necessary.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top-tier talent.
- Cultivate a healthy and inclusive team environment.
- Mentor team members to support their personal and professional growth.
