JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge hardware solutions. You will play a critical role in leading and driving the hardware design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products. You will report directly to our Olathe Electronic Solutions Engineering site Leader and you will work out of our Olathe, Kansas location. In this role, you will have an impact by leading and driving the hardware design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable hardware systems. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and define hardware requirements will enable seamless integration with other components and systems, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and drive the hardware design process, from concept to production

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications

Design and develop complex hardware systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout

Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.

Provide technical expertise to support hardware production

Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

8+ years of experience in hardware design and development

Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies

Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools

Experience with hardware testing and validation

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers

Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices

Experience with high-speed digital and analog circuit design

Knowledge of FPGA and microcontroller-based designs

Knowledge of DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware and RTCA DO-160 Qualification Guidelines.

Proficiency with Mentor Graphics X-petition Enterprise Design Flow, Mathcad, MS Excel, and LT-Spice.
