Additionally, this role manages external vendors and 3rd party tools.
The MIS is responsible for financial systems, HR systems, Business applications, CRM & Open platform systems where MIS R&D group is developing required systems.
The group is global (3 sites).
Responsibilities:- IT Business Relationship with entire organization Departments:
- Establish and maintain a strong partnership with the customers to understand their technology needs and align them with the overall IT strategy.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced functionality within MIS systems.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Manage MIS groups and teams:
- Supervise and provide leadership to the MIS teams within the IT information systems department.
- Set clear goals and objectives for each team and drive them towards successful delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting professional development and knowledge-sharing among team members.
- Ensure proper resource allocation and workload management across the teams.
- Oversee MIS Roadmap:
- Develop and maintain the roadmap, outlining the strategic direction for MIS systems and technologies.
- Identify and prioritize initiatives for systems enhancements, new feature development, and systems implementations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Monitor and report on the progress of initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource utilization.
- Act as a Trusted Advisor:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in MIS, providing expertise and guidance to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology to optimize processes, improve data integrity, and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with organization leadership to define best practices, standards, and policies for all information systems and data management.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to stakeholders based on a deep understanding of technology capabilities and business processes.
- Manage External Vendors and 3rd Party Tools:
- Oversee vendor selection processes and manage vendor relationships.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with external vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors to optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades or system integrations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations related to infromation systems and recommend appropriate 3rd party tools to enhance system capabilities.
- Shape the MIS Group:
- Assess and manage employees' skills within the group, identifying training needs and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Define and maintain a clear organization structure, ensuring roles and responsibilities align with business needs and promote efficiency.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the group, encouraging creative thinking and collaboration.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing information systems.
- Strong knowledge of organization business processes and practices.
- Proven experience in managing big teams/groups and creating a positive work environment.
- Proven experience in work with senior managers within the organizations you worked in
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Sound understanding of vendor management and contract negotiation.
