Architect Power Electronic Engineer
You are responsible for
- Leading power distribution unit design (Power electronic converter) and CT Power electrical architecture design, such as power converters, power filter, transformer, etc.
- Leading power supply architect & power supply platform development for CT scanner, drive technical feasibility study and discussion with team members from concept stage to product launch.
- Leading and develop reliable and cost-effective high-powerunits and components for CT scanners (technical product spec, DFMEA, electronics system architecture, design guidance, design review, validation & verification, etc) during PDLM execution and post market improvement.
- Performing trouble shoot and root cause analysis on issues from customer or production line, as well as design verification and product validation, ensure deliverables have no risk in safety and reliability
- Working with global or local technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives
- Ensuring design for reliability, performance and high-quality product delivery through supplier relationships
- Driving, coaching and tracking power electronics innovations.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Master’s degree (MS) or higher in power electronic engineering, or related field equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years electrical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of power conversion technologies, including DC/DC, AC/DC converters as well as power topologies.
- Familiar with different applications about High voltage-High Power (>10kW) Power Electronic Converter design including power dissipation calculations, Component selections, Topo application and so on.
- Familiar with PID control algorithms design and can apply some simulation tooling to verify the design in advance, such as Matlab, Pspice, Saber, PSIM and so on.
- Familiar with power electronic production development process.
- Familiar with safety design compliance of medical industrial systems, such as IEC60601-1.
- Demonstrated experience in analog, digital, power, PCB layout, EMC/EMI centered electrical design.
- Working knowledge of EMC and Safety standards and issue remediation
- Knowledge in design for manufacturing: Ease of assembly, Cost, second sourcing.
- Working experience with the global R&D and engineering organizations preferred.
- Good English communication skills (both verbal and written) required
