Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of Mechanical/HVAC, experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, the required use of safety equipment such as limited weight bearing work platforms, ladders, step stools and personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety harnesses in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines and assessments.
Ability to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with safety rules and regulations associated with operating complex infrastructure.
Experience in commissioning of HVAC and mechanical distribution systems (chillers, cooling tower, fire system, air handling units etc.) which include air and water side systems.
Experience operating and maintaining mission-critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, pharmaceutical plants, semiconductor facilities, refineries, power plants, etc.) and ability to maintain mechanical systems and resolve system failures.
Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including: chillers, air handling units, CRAC units, power feeders/distribution, transformers, generators, switchgears, UPS systems, ATS/STS units and PDU/PMM units.
