Responsibilities:

  • Work with management in driving strategic initiatives related to clients, people, capital, compliance, and coordinate across product groups, regions, sectors, functional partners to help drive changes in the business.
  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of New Product capabilities from planning to execution.
  • Work with Business Execution partners to streamline processes, technology, and build consistent policies and procedures.
  • Drive efficiency / productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team and other functional partners.
  • Review and enhance existing processes and ensure the development of new controls are comprehensive and business appropriate.
  • Numerous ad-hoc analyses and presentations for senior management, framing issues and synthesizing key findings of team analyses and recommendations; special projects as required.
  • Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis of operational risk events, and ensure delivery of remediation actions / Corrective Action Plans.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development among junior team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in COO/Business Execution/Business Management roles, preferably within Sales and trading in an Equity or Global Market product role. Relevant support function experience also considered.
  • Proven experience successfully driving day-to-day execution and strategic projects across a large matrixed organization.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, execution and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to independently own work and operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Experience in escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint expertise
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships, and work as a team player.
