Your day to day:

• Design, code,and maintain webservices and applications that directly provide core capabilities for PayPal

• Collaborate in an empowered engineering team to develop extensible technical solutions forcomplex problems

• Work with product management to formulate innovative solutions to improve customer success

• Continuously raise the bar and leverage new technology to make improvements around engineering process, quality, and efficiency through automation, proper code abstraction, and monitoring

What do you need to bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 10+ years of backend development experience.

• Proficiency in java

• Leadership in designing and architecting scalable backend systems with a focus on cloud-native solutions, microservices, and serverless architectures.

• Expertise in designing and implementing fault-tolerant systems with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive technical roadmaps, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Experience with advanced security practices, including secure coding, encryption, and access control.

• Proven ability to lead, influence, and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation with positive attitude and continuous improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale, high-performance systems.

• Experience in running large scale CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github or Harness

• Experience with using AI/ML solutions in application development

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
