Director RTR Compliance

You are responsible for

  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
  • Stay updated with changes on statutory rules and regulations (close cooperation with PWC experts) to be able to assess business impact
  • Translate IFRS/GAAP to Local GAAP via statutory adjustments
  • Provide accurate, completed & timely data for statutory reporting, fiscal reporting and other requirements
  • Manage on local level Operating Model for Statutory Reporting/CIT (TOM)
  • Contact point for PWC and local authorities (if applicable)
  • Manages Statutory and Periodic Internal Audits.
  • First contact point for external auditors (if applicable).
  • Fulfills requests from regulatory & tax authorities- provide support during fiscal audits.
  • Co-ordination with Accounting Operation, Tax Group, MTM , CTM on any other statutory accounting related activities.
  • Constantly look for improvement opportunities in the area of direct responsibility, but not limited to and drive implementation (compliance, quality and process efficiency).
  • Complete Internal Controls work according to Internal Control Standards( ICS ) tool on a timely and accurate basis and supervise ICS tasks carried out by other members.
  • Drive standardization/harmonization of Statutory Accounting ways of working across regions.
  • Develop KPI’s/measurements to effectively measure and monitor out performance across regions.
  • Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Viewed as an expert by the company and in the field.
  • Has complete knowledge of all company products and services.
  • Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Ensuring right availability of talent with adequate knowledge.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Familiar with local tax and statutory requirements Level of technical knowledge of IFRS (advanced / master)
  • Level of valuation skills (advanced / master)
  • Ability to be sparring partner for internal and external specialists (business valuators, external accountants, M&A, legal, Treasury)
  • Ability for “insourcing”
  • Knowledge of local GAAP to tax GAAP differences
  • Local GAAP qualification (CPA equivalent) a plus
  • Experience in preparing statutory financial statements and IFRS
  • Experience in financial audits and internal control
  • Experience in leading and building a team
  • Service oriented, good communicator
  • Experience in transformation
  • Experience in automation
  • Big-4 experience
  • Auditor qualification
