Job Title: HR Payroll Specialist (f/m/d)
What You'll Do
As HR Payroll specialist (f/m/d), your primary duty will be to aid in the payroll processing for all entities across
China. Your role will be extensive in both global and local projects, helping to enhance our systems,
services, and processes.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Assisting in Payroll processing and reporting procedures, as well as subsequent activities, to ensure timely payment of SAP employees and adherence to country-specific statutory regulations and business frameworks.
- Providing advice to customers, stakeholders, peers, and managers on issues, particularly those relating to local laws, policies, and country-specific topics, under the guidance of a senior HR payroll specialist.
- Assisting the primary point of escalation for non-standard cases and processes.
- Assisting in developing evaluations and reports to meet legal requisites and accommodate internal and external audit stakeholders.
- Aid in collaborating with external authorities and third parties.
- Assist in monitoring critical audit points of payroll transaction services to ensure legal requirements are met.
- Helping in implementing standard global processes and controls, adhering to local payroll calendars, policies, and legislative regulations.
- The local Payroll Consultant is responsible for the processing of local Payroll services within local SAP organizations.
- As part of the HR Service Center Organization the Payroll Consultant performs local payroll processes of non migrated processes, performs SOX controls and executes more complex processes.
- The Payroll Consultant is the main contact point for non standard payroll processes and acts as an advisor for payroll related topics for local SAP, HR Service Center and external authorities
Main Tasks
Answer payroll inquiries
• Perform administrative local tasks
• Perform local tasks to ensure monthly payroll processing
• Create legal statements
• Support HR activities for other departments and external authorities
• Provide an escalation point for non-standard cases referred and resolve within agreed service levels
• Understand Service Level Agreements
• Provide expert advice and guidance as required by customers, colleagues, management
• Liaise with third parties (e.g. legal, IT, external providers and local authorities) to ensure processes are valid and reflect legal requirements
• Carry out assigned task in cooperation with HRSC in Prague according to guidelines and policies described in process handbooks
• Document business and legal changes for knowledge base and handbook updates
• Develop and coach and enable tier 1 and tier 2 teams to resolve standard cases
• Follow guidelines and policies in managing confidential data
Ensure quality:
• Perform checks on IPP in cases of tax/social security and legal compliance
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures in payroll
• Perform regular SOX controls
What You Bring
- A minimum of 3 year of work experience in administration or HR as well as a university degree or a
- comparable level of education/experience in Payroll Accounting, Business or Human Resources
- Administration.
- Adeguate knowledge of China payroll law, practices, and procedures.
- Familiarity with SAP payroll system knowledge (HCM).
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Experience working in an HR customer-oriented environment is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
