Key Responsibilities:
Manage Systems and Software teams in China, comprising over 2200 employees and contractors across multiple sites (Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Xi’an, and Chengdu).
Serve as the site manager for Shanghai, ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration.
Develop and execute actionable engineering strategies based on detailed data analysis.
Foster strong inter-personal relationships and work effectively across organizations and senior executives.
Ensure alignment with international teams, including those in the USA and India.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
Lead talent development programs to nurture and grow engineering talent within the organization.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
Strong understanding of the China Auto, smartphone, and smart devices customer and technology ecosystem.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including open-source development.
Excellent English written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, and a working level of Mandarin proficiency.
Proven ability to analyze and distill detailed data into actionable engineering strategies.
Experience managing large, distributed engineering teams and working across different geographies.

Ability to drive innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Analytical Skills:The ability to collect information and identify fundamental patterns/trends in data. This includes the ability to gather, integrate, and interpret information from several sources.
Communication:The ability to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery (e.g., email, phone, face-to-face). This includes using a technically sound communication style both verbally and in writing.
Creating the New and Different: The ability to be creative. This includes the ability to produce breakthrough ideas, being a visionary, managing innovation, seeing multiple futures, having broad interests and knowledge, and gaining support in order to translate new ideas into solutions. This also includes the ability to plan and implement unconventional ideas and speculate about alternative futures without all of the data.
Getting Work Done: The ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful. This includes the ability to leverage multiple resources to get things done and lay out tasks in sufficient detail. This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles.
Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of program management methodology (e.g., planning, scheduling, tracking, execution). This includes the ability to effectively use program management tools to carry out the program management function.
