What you’ll do

• Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
• Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Issues Management (Corrective Action Plans) and to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Analyse a multitude of scorecards and performance management tools in an attempt to mitigate exposure (risk/financial/regulatory).
• Support Independent Assurance Reviews across the team to drive root cause analysis and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with the team to support Risk Profile production across the various Functions.
• Develop and maintain relationships across the Functions to better understand processes and their inherent and residual risks which would support independent challenge efforts and align to changes in the internal and external business environment.
• Operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

What we’ll need from you

• Experience navigating and networking across the Risk and Control space with a background in Audit or Operational Risk preferred
• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
