Role name and description

The job holder will work on U.S. individual, gift, trust and partnership tax returns

Client responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust and partnership
  • returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues
  • Drive the tax return preparation process, review complex tax returns and other tax deliverables
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues
  • Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work
  • Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvement
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams
  • Help Senior Managers and Managers with advisory and ad-hoc projects
  • Develop engagement and financial management skills by managing own and/or other’s impact on project economics,
  • including controlling costs, monitoring budget to actual differences
  • Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client or greater efficiency in the
  • compliance process
  • Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams

People responsibilities

  • Facilitate teaming and manage conflicts
  • Motivate and inspire team members
  • Lead by example and be a role model
  • Contribute actively to creating a high performing team
  • Assist Seniors and Managers on special projects, as requested

Additional skills requirements

  • Preferable with Certified EA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, gift, trust and partnership returns.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, gift, trust and partnership returns.
  • Good English skills
  • Good with MS office – word, excel, outlook etc.
  • Have formal education in commerce/ finance

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in finance/commerce
  • 3+ years of working with major global corporation (Big 4, Finance shared services etc.)
