About the role
As a Verification/Validation Engineer, your mission is to ensure that we deliver quality software to our customers. You will be responsible for the system-level test activities in the vehicle, evaluating the complete Automated Driving feature portfolio.
What you’ll do
Develop holistic understanding of the product and its expected end user experience.
Process system requirements to create and maintain a test plan.
Develop working level understanding of test vehicle platforms and measurement equipment.
Prepare test vehicles.
Execute the test plan on test track and public road.
Collect data and verify its correctness.
Analyze data to triage problems and propose solutions to correct those.
Document defects and create test reports.
Benchmarking the AD features of multiple customers and competitors.
Report the test status to project management and stakeholders.
Lead the improvement of software quality, giving guidance to the feature developers.
Drive the refinement the overall system test concept, processes, methods and tools
Align the test activities within the world-wide vehicle test team.
Lead the solution of complex technical issues across teams, escalate only highly complex issues to higher-level leads.
Provide input for key decisions to senior leadership.
What you'll bring
Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
5 years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
At least 3 years’ experience of AD comfort features.
Expert knowledge in test planning.
German driver license type B
Experience with vehicle tests.
Knowledge in test report creation.
Experience with data analysis (vehicle state, data filtering, ...).
Experience with ECU flashing and data logging.
Ideally programming skills in Python/C/Matlab.
Foundational understanding of Automotive standards, ratings and regulations, e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, EuroNCAP, UNECE R79.
Experience with issue tracking systems like Jira.
Fluent English mandatory.
Working independently with little supervision.
Motivated, communicative, flexible, team player.

This is a full-time position based in our office in Unterschleißheim, Germany.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
