Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years related experience (e.g., applied science, data analytics, research)
OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., applied science, data analytics, research)
OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
OR equivalent experience.
Passionate on big data, data science and analytics
Solid coding, engineering and analytical skills
Good analytics skill, good communication skill, fluent in English (both oral and written)
Responsibilities
You will gain expertise in one or more subareas of research and understand applicable research techniques. You’ll also gain deep knowledge of a data service or domain, and become familiar with the latest industry trends and applied technologies.
You will apply strategies provided by senior team members and develop an understanding of methods used in the community and gain expertise in a deeply specialized area.
As you reinforce a positive environment by applying best practices, you will also support mentorship and assist with the onboarding of entry-level team members. Additionally, you will maintain ties with an external network of peers and identify prospective talent, when asked.
You will identify and leverage appropriate sources of data to address specific business needs. Evaluate data for applicability to answering relevant and impactful business questions, determine methods for integrating data across sources, and addresses data integrity and/or quality issues independently and/or in partnership with other teams. Contribute to the development and/or recommendation of initial/prototype data models and/or tools for consumption by others and escalates complex issues with those models and/or tools to appropriate Engineering or Data-Science teams.
You will determines appropriate analytical and inferential techniques to address business questions, executes analyses and interprets results with actionable recommendations, and partner to build on others' analyses and frameworks. Critically evaluate the choice of tools, techniques, and assumptions to ensure they are appropriate within context and provides feedback on features and functions of analytical tools and/or models.
