Job responsibilities:
- Build and deploy production grade native iOS Mobile application to solve various business use cases for the firm
- Provide overall direction, oversight, training and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
- Accountable for decisions that influence teams’ resources, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders
- Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary
- Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
- Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Formal training or certification on Native Mobile Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Practical Mobile native experience with Expert knowledge in all phases of the mobile app development life cycle
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
- Knowledge of Frameworks and APIs like Objective C, Foundation, UIKit, Swift/SwiftUI, CocoaTouch, Core Data.
- Experience in using Xcode provided tools like Debug Memory Graph, Debug View Hierarchy, Instruments for Profiling.
- Strong experience with Data Structures, Type Conversions, Multi-Threading. Experience with One or more Design Patterns – MVC, MVVM, MVI, MVP, Singleton, Viper
- Understanding of build systems such as Gradle, Jenkins or similar systems.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and well versed with agile ceremonies
- Experience working with API integration, distributed systems, monitoring, caching, and persistence solutions.
- Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence, Customer-focused mindset, taking pride in creating an informative data-driven journey.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong communication skills along with significant experience of managing stakeholder of diverse background
- Understands the importance of unit testing and is able to write meaningful unit tests
- Understanding of GIT and GIT workflow
- Experience leading teams of technologists
- Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
