Key Qualifications

- Strong Engineering fundamentals: mechanics, material science, heat transfer, mechanism design & manufacturing.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorms.
- 2+ years experience in full time mechanical design engineering role.
Description
- Develop initial product layouts. Generate concepts, prototype, demonstrate & test to drive down-selection. - Ensure design meets requirements throughout its lifecycle by performing stress, tolerance, and failure analyses.- Skills you will strengthen on the job: tolerance analysis, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, design for assembly/manufacturability, designing for high volume manufacturing of injection molded, die cast, sheetmetal, and machined parts, metrology, simple fixture design, computer aided design, statistical process control.
Education & Experience
At least B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
