This role will be accountable for supporting planning, logistics and materials management activities within the supply chain function (on site role).

The Logistics Specialist will support tactical activities for all areas within Supply Chain with a key emphasis on SAP expertise.

• The Supply Chain Logistics Specialist will work within a cross functional team environment representing the Supply Chain function on his/her own initiative:
• SAP SME for Supply Chain with strong SAP Material Handling (MH) and) Order to Cash (OTC) knowledge.
• Supporting problem solving activities.
• Interpreting the customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests.
• Applying knowledge of internal/external business challenges to provide input into recommendations for improvements to products, processes, or services.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

• Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of COMET Material Master Data changes using the global and local procedures. As site point of contact act on above-site requests to evaluate changes to Material Handling Data.
• As Material handling Data Steward actively engage with the wider business, site and above-site as required for all MH & OTC data changes and creations.
• Actively prioritize and manage the delivery of ongoing work providing visibility to stakeholders on progress of ongoing work.
• Subject Matter Expert for MH & OTC Material Master fields and impact to site operations, act as site business area representative in proposing field values in advance of change for all MH & OTC Data.
• Support all Production related queries/issues related to material movements and any other operational issues that require Material handling support.
• Actively engage in all SAP projects from a site perspective but also when needed from a Global perspective that will impact MH & OTC data and processes.
• Attend weekly Data meetings held by site ISO for data creations & updates, and act as backup for the site ISO.
• Attend, engage and represent the site at global MH & OTC CoP meetings and initiatives.
• Ensure the highest Quality, Compliance and Safety standards by participating and complying with our Manufacturing Division Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ownership, as relevant.
• QN and CAPA owner for the team.
• EHS program champion.
• Support Audits (EHS, Quality, GTC and Finance).
• Promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement by participating in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

• Degree or 3rd level qualification (Business, Science, Engineering).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production/operation related environment preferably the pharmaceutical industry with experience in a SAP role in a warehouse environment.
• Proven experience in the SAP ERP system with a working knowledge of MH & OTC an advantage.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement skills.
• Capability to interact with all levels of business leadership and operational teams.
• The ability to influence decision making in a manner that achieves the best possible solution for the organization.
• Solid business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced PC skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
