Required Qualifications

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
  • OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techn

  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years customer-facing, project-delivery experience, professional services, and/or consulting experience.

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science,
  • OR related field AND 7+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of AI/ML experience in the industry (3+ years for PhD).
• Strong technical skills in AI and machine learning.
• Track record of shipping innovative AI-based products at scale.
• Extensive and up to date knowledgeand experience withLLM and other modern AI methods.
• Coding skills and knowledge of Python AI ecosystem.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Keen interest in Education.
• Publications of AI-related research.

• Adopt, contribute to, and improve theteam’sexisting technical stack and infrastructureto builddifferentiated features in the Education space.
• Stay up to date with AI technology, advise on how we can adapt and embrace new technologiesmethodologiesand ideas.
• Provide hands-on technical work: design, analytics/modelingand fine tuning, dataset development, code reviews, development, quality assurance.
• Build relationships with partners within Microsoft (applied) Research Teams to bring innovation to new and existing products.
