Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable applications using modern tech stacks.

• Collaborate with security architects and cross-functional teams to implement security standards and enhancements.

• Ensure adherence to best practices for security, performance, and reliability in line with eBay’s coding standards.

• Conduct security assessments , identify vulnerabilities, and resolve them to safeguard platforms.

• Participate in code reviews , providing constructive feedback to enhance security and promote secure coding.

• Stay updated with industry trends , threat intelligence , and emerging security technologies

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience : Proven full-stack development background with a focus on secure software development .

• Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in JavaScript , React , Node.js .

  • Familiarity with workflow engines for app development (plus).

  • Expertise in security principles and risk mitigation tools/methodologies.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI specification .

  • Strong in SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with secure cloud platforms and architecture.

  • Skilled in writing clear, maintainable, and secure code .

  • Proficiency with secure version control ( Git ) and collaborative dev practices.

• Soft Skills :

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, shifting environments .
