As a Senior Tax Staff in our International Tax Services – ITS - practice, you'll join a dedicated team delivering a comprehensive range of tax services to some of the largest multinational organizations worldwide. You'll play a key role in helping these corporations navigate complex domestic and international tax challenges, ensuring they align various taxation areas into a cohesive, benefit-driven strategy. Core elements of the role include

  • Advising Canadian and foreign companies on domestic and foreign tax implications of their operations.
  • Providing timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.
  • Enhancing technical skills by remaining up to date on trends, new legislative developments and tax authority decisions, and apply them to complex situations relevant to the client.
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancing tax solutions and planning.
  • Demonstrating professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products.
  • Thoroughly and accurately analyzing information.
  • Participating in and contribute to achieving team goals.


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of Canadian corporate tax experience or a minimum of 1 year of Canadian international tax experience
  • Completion of any of the following - a CPA designation, the CPA In-Depth tax course, an MTax or an LLM qualification
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment and willingness to adopt new technologies and standardized processes to enhance final deliverables
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • The ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Process orientation and excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A team-oriented, proactive and committed approach to work along with a high level of drive and motivation

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $65,500 to $108,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
