Reporting to theEHS Manager,therole will be part of anexcellent SHEQ team with the responsibility to ensure that the appropriate support and arrangements are in place at our facility to best control risks, prevent accidents and incidents, and to elevate an EHS culture for all employees, visitors, contractors, and third parties. You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, communicating, and coordinating EHS objectives.
What a typical day looks like:
Communication and coordination of Statutory Requirements to ensure that the business continuously fulfils its EHS obligations.
Coordinate and maintain Organisational Management Systems (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001) to ensure the effective management of Health, Safety and Environment matters at key manufacturing locations.
Build and maintain close communication with other departments (technical, engineering, manufacturing, facilities maintenance) to ensure high standards of EHS within the relevant departments.
Undertake reviews of company EHS practices and procedures and maintain, manage, and complete EHS Inspections and audits
Publish and Review RAMS to maintain Risk Management within site operations.
Conduct and participate in active monitoring and safety tours to identify areas of non-compliance, areas of improvement and best practice which can be shared across the company.
Communicate & Maintain Organisational EHS Policies and Metrics pertaining to site works.
Proactively work with operational teams to ensure that EHS is considered at all stages and that relevant control measures are identified.
Be able to identify all EHS related risks and issues across Anord Mardix sites and assist in the design and arrangements necessary for the remedial actions.
Contribute to EHS incident investigation. Investigate and review of near misses and incidents, identifying Root Causes to prevent recurrence, and complete action resolution.
Investigate and review issues identified through Occupational Health surveillance.
Represent the Company to Clients and Subcontractors, maintaining a positive working relationship with external representatives.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is essential.
Relevant work experience in an EHS role within a Manufacturing, Construction or Engineering role.
Extensive knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, relevant Standards and other relevant legislation.
Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to liaise with all levels within organization and proven track record of developing relationships.
