Job Description

The ITSM Configuration Manager is a senior position which will be responsible for the CMDB and Asset strategy, design, coordination, deployment, and management of the assigned CI’s within ServiceNow. Examples of ITSM CMDB/Asset processes include, but are not limited to, IT Change Management, IT Release Management, IT Incident Management, etc. This responsibility is inclusive of relevant supporting systems and technologies. These processes align with Industry Standards, such as ITIL. Must work to drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency of the pertinent process.

Responsibilities
  • ·Develop and partner with ITSM team members on strategies for the procurement, deployment, utilization, and retirement of IT assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT assets within ServiceNow.
  • ·Monitor asset utilization and performance to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely updates, upgrades, and replacements of assets to meet evolving business needs.
  • Generate recurring reports and metrics on asset utilization, lifecycle status, and compliance for management review.
  • ·Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve asset management processes anddecision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains in asset management practices.
  • Manage the eWaste process to ensure timely and secure IT asset disposition.
  • ·Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure asset inventory accuracy.
  • ·Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in IT asset management.

and abilities:

  • Deep ITSM Framework experience and knowledge in various ITSM methodologies such as ITIL, COBIT, Agile, SIAM, Etc.

  • Strongcommunications skills

  • Excellent social, planning, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work directly with internal customers at all levels toassure compliance with practiceobjectivesand measurements

  • Project management skills, ability to coordinate multi-functional resourcesinfluentially

  • In-depth knowledge ofServiceNow and other ITSM tools and applications

  • An understanding of enterprise IT systems such as O365, Email, DNS, Active Directory, Public Cloud, TCP/IP, Server/Storage, and Database Technologies as well as exposure to a wide variety of technical products and issues

  • Knowledge & experience across the whole spectrum of IT-related functions: network infrastructure, datacenter operations, business applications development & support, etc.

  • Specific experience in managing an ITSM Practice inConfigurationas well asReliability/ObservabilityManagement

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalentITSM Managementwork experience

  • Technical certifications desirable

  • 10+ years ITSMManagementat the enterprise levelrequired

  • 8+ years leading aConfigurationManagement andReliability/ObservabilityManagement
