What you’ll do
- Think creatively and practice user-centered design thinking through all stages from concept ideation to implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with other designers.
- Be a tireless advocate for the end user and best-in-class customer experiences.
- Mentor and lead junior designers, taking ownership of team projects and design initiatives.
- Utilize the Cisco Momentum Design System and our templates and component libraries for prototyping in Figma.
- Present and demo design work often in order to validate concepts, secure leadership buy-in, and keep teammates and co-collaborators well-informed.
- Work with UX research teams to conduct usability tests and user research (including creating prototypes).
- Engage with users and customers to gather feedback and drive continual improvements.
- Study analytics and use data to drive design decisions and support or dispel your assumptions.
- Work with a global design team across continents and time zones.
Who You Are?
- Designer with 3-5 years of professional experience with a UX-focused portfolio that demonstrates experience in both interaction design and visual execution
- Bonus points if you can demonstrate experience with admin dashboards & tools
- Formal training in User Experience, Product Design, Human Factors – or equivalent work experience
- Keen understanding of usability principles and design thinking
- Ability to navigate and make progress on projects with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Self-motivated and able to self-manage tasks, deadlines and schedule
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Proficient in Figma/Sketch
