• Designelectronics/electricalcircuits, perform analysis to meet the requirements as specified.

• Perform board level testing and verification and system level testing and verification to ensure fault free product delivery.

• Support NPI activities by performing verification & validation activities to deliver on time, whenever required.

• Identify solution for obsolescence issues and propose solutions. Introduce the alternate solution by completing technical analysis, verification & validation, documentation and completing the ECR/ECO process.

• Contribute to the team by performing failure analysis of issues reported from field, NCs, trending etc. including autopsies of failed units whenever available. Document the detailed analysis using tools like Fish bone, 5 WHYs, Reliability etc. and identify the root-cause of failures and propose solutions.

• Identify and work with domestic and international suppliers to deliver units in time, resolve issues in the manufacturing line, process improvements etc.

• Identify opportunities to reduce the ICV of the product on a continuous basis.

• Improve designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, cost and manufacturability.

• Own and deliver RoHS, Reach and other compliance for the respective components.

• Work to facilitate EMC, thermal, andperformance/requirementswhenever required.

• Analyzing and validating material/component selection, tolerances, performance, cost, manufacturability whenever required.

• Concurrently manage multiple assignments and meet the schedules.

• Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies & Procedures, Engineering Standards, Product Definition Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements

• Master’s/Bachelor's Degree inElectronics/ElectricalEngineering or equivalent experience

• At least 6 years industry specific experience

• Experience in Microcontrollers, Processors, Memories and interfaces..

• Experience in PCB design, testing & manufacturing are must

• Intimate knowledge of available and upcoming technologies

• Experience with circuit board design/layout best practices

• Experience with thermal design best practices

• Experience with EMC design best practices

• Ability to work flexible hours

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

• Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables

• Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions

• Manage supplier development including assisting key suppliers towards QA. Support suppliers in reaching optimum quality and industrial standards of excellence.

• Supplier development, Part development as per project timelines meeting quality requirements in strong collaboration with Sourcing, Engineering Manufacturing team.

• Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.

• Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment but may require more senior levels of guidance.

• Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

• Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs
