The Fin Solutions Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.Responsibilities:
Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes.
Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural "expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
8 - 12 years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
Excellent relational and communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Education:
Bachelors degree
The Finance Solution Senior Analyst would be part of Controller System & Data Operations – Platform Services wherein the primary responsibility would be to support Full Suite SPIRT (Significant Process Incident Response Team) S/He should ensure smooth functioning of all BAU activities while adhering to all control guidelines. S/He will interact with Tech / Accounting teams / Upstream / Downstream platform partners to discuss, resolve and escalate issues appropriately to manage expectations and resolutions.
Work on Complex data & functional Full Suite queries, drive resolutions across different groups
Hold external teams (Technology / GFTS) accountable and ensure they deliver against deadlines.
SME for Full Suite platform and end to end resolution for critical and complex issue resolutions
Assess impact of changes to process/platforms and communicate to users
Define processes for own area, standardize processes across regions/centers
Identifyredundancies/improvementsin own processes and implement the same
Identify opportunities to reduce INC volume by collaborating with different user groups
Define/Standardize/Analyzeprocess KPI metrics
Manage and report control issues with transparency
To drive SPIRT Projects/Initiatives
Manage, assign and track team members work responsibilities.
Manage Users and external Resolver groups
Drive internal team trainings on ledger platforms
Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects
Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions
