As Senior Technical Solutions Architect, you’ll play an integral part in the sales lifecycle in defining Cloud/Linode solutions as a presales specialist. You will guide customers through the strategic and technical aspects of their Cloud transformation journey and drive the consumption of Linode services. In addition, you’ll also be the thought-leader in cloud computing both outside and within Akamai.

As a Senior Technical Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Drive Linode opportunities in Japan as a public cloud pre-sales engineer and technical escalation point, with a secondary alignment APJ wide. Own cloud sales opportunities from the technical side, working closely with assigned sales counterparts
• Drive customer success and continuous consumption of Linode, as part of the integrated account team. Cloud professional service delivery experience is a plus.
• Lead solution and product innovation initiatives. Evangelize local use cases/technology trends and influence product roadmap with global product managers.
• Build technical thought-leadership in Cloud Computing/Linode to support overall Akamai business growth.
• Lead Pre-Sales SME enablement groups on Linode and public cloud technology stack.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8+ years of experience working in a customer facing technical role with a public cloud vendor, cloud consulting firm, hosting provider, cloud system integrator.
• Demonstrate strong experience in architecting complex IaaS solutions for customers. Possess two or more professional level certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle and/or CNCF.
• Demonstrate in-depth hands-on skills in three or more of these domains: Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI & GPU, IaC/CI/CD tooling, gaming or media streaming tech stack.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge and hands-on skills in common open source software to replace hyperscalers proprietary managed services via Linode IaaS platform.
• Demonstrated skill of solving new and untackled technical and business problems, through active listening/clarifying, structured analytical and creative thinking, decision making and teamwork.
• Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a wide range of audiences, technical and non-technical. Business level fluency in English is required.
