Job Description:
Core Competencies
Experience building highly reliable fault tolerant Distributed Systems
Strong familiarity with database internals (e.g., Postgres), replication, TCP/IP and virtualized environments (i.e.VMWare vSphere)
Recent and proficient experience with Java, C++, Go, Python, or similar
Pragmatic thinking and ability to jump into an ambiguous area and break down complex problems
Solid understanding of modern development practices including Automated testing, Fault Injection and Performance
Responsibilities
Design, lead and maintain multiple platform components including runtime libraries and datastore services ensuring robustness, scalability and performance
Apply industry standards and best practices to help transform home grown database into highly available and scalable containerized service on kubernetes
Mentor and guide junior developers.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science and 12+ years of experience in distributed systems design and implementation; at this level a post-graduate degree is typically expected or
Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience and 10+ years of experience in distributed systems design and implementation
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is141,000 - $225,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
