As a Senior SW Test Automation Engineer, you will be part of our development team that work on the design, implementation, maintenance, and testing of patient monitoring sensors software. You will have access to world-class engineering facilities and be at the core of our mission to create advanced measurement technology for novel patient monitoring systems. You will work in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure. Essential Responsibilities- Developing and maintaining the SW testing framework, test automation and test cases for patient monitors in various areas like data acquisition, physiological measurement algorithms, communication protocols, real time operating systems, and many others.
- Take responsibility of the test software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Take responsibility of the maintenance of the test setup in CI lab in collaboration with our CI team.
- Follow and improve well-established principles for building robust and high-quality software products that are efficient, testable, and easy to maintain.
- Drive excellence and continuous improvement in tools and our ways of working for happier employees and customers.
Qualifications- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
- Experience with modern SW development methods in Python 3, object oriented design, use of virtual environments, pytest and robot framework.
- Experience with hardware and embedded systems (e.g., C/C++ source code compilation with the help of build system, flashing microcontroller, serial communication, IO logic analyzer, oscilloscope, voltage/current measurements).
- Deep experience in and passionate about software testing and development.
- Open and curious mindset, willing to approach the challenges in cutting-edge technology.
- Natural self-starter with team-player attitude and ability to take ownership.
- Eager to learn and grow personally and contribute to each other's development as well.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, and EU work permit.
Characteristics- Experience with agile software development.
- Version control systems like Git, code review tools, and continuous integration.
- Static analysis tools, unit testing, and test automation on target hardware.
- Building, sharing, and running containerized applications and microservices with Docker.
