Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain algorithms for eBay ads click fraud detection systems.

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to ads clicks.

• Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Actively contributing to design, development, test of complex, multi-tier software applications running in a distributed environment. Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and rollout system changes.

• Working with other engineers, managers, designers, product managers to develop innovative solutions that meet needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability while meeting realistic implementation schedules and adhering to development goals and principles

• Sharing release management duties during feature rollouts and sharing on-call responsibilities.

Job Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).

• 3+ years’ work experience in software development area with at least 2+ years’ experience in Java programming, web development, big data or machine learning.

• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms and data structures.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Scala, Java.

• Proficient in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and Flink.

• Experience with risk control products

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience with digital advertising is a BIG plus.

• Good English communication skills.
