Job Description - Senior - CCaSS, EY GDS Assurance

The Senior shall provide advisory services in the domain of Environment Health & Safety, EHS management system reporting, risk assessment, due diligence, data validations and other functions deemed necessary to support the EHS function

The senior will be responsible for working closely with Managers and Seniors on client engagements. The role requires understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment, EHS audits and assurances, EHS data validation, GAP assessments along with well-developed communication skills.

Primary responsibilities

• Execute the following EHS solutions using Global service delivery framework:
  • EHS Advisory
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Environment health & safety due diligence
• Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of assigned deliverables, informing supervisors of engagement status.
• Receive direction from the Manager, Senior Manager and Partner.
• Identify engagement and client service issues. Research and benchmark client data to industry data. Explain
• the client's critical success factors to the engagement team.
• Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing ofdeliverables and reports

Qualifications, skills, and experience

• Post graduate degree in environment/sustainability or engineering (chemical/mechanical/civil) from reputed institutes in India with a focus on environment and OH&S issues
• 3–6 years of experience in EHS with reputed consulting firms, engineering firms or industry
• Preferably should understand relevant legislation, regulations such as OSHA, IOSH, NIOSH, ISO, and industry initiatives such as HIRA (Hazard identification and risk assessment), JSA (Job Safety Analysis), etc.
• Exposure to EHS digital tools such as Enablon, Gabi, Sphera, SAP
• Internship/project experience with MNCs on EHS as part of their educational curriculum.
• Strong communication, presentation, and business writing skills
• Knowledge and experience in maintaining EHS management system
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
• Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
• Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary
