Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high quality written procedures for health, safety and environmental processes and activities.
- Undertake accident and incident investigations and provide professional reports on findings.
- Carry out task, equipment and process risk assessments and assist in the development of departmental risk assessment programmes.
- Develop and deliver health, safety and environmental training to employees, contractors and visitors at all levels.
- Conduct internal audits of EHS procedures in accordance with the site audit plan.
- Support the development and implementation of site level requirements for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programmes and participate in third party external verification audits.
- Undertake routine EHS inspections and assist in the management of the EHS inspection programme.
- Provide day-to-day EHS support and guidance to KLA departmental managers and staff so as to ensure, handle and promote effective operation of the site’s health, safety and environmental management systems.
- Analyse EHS performance metrics and respond in a proactive manner to promote continual improvement and minimize risk of EHS non-conformances.
Qualifications and Skills
- Shown EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. (Desirable)
- Candidates should hold a recognised health, safety and environmental management qualifications such as, NEBOSH General certificate, IEMA Certificate, NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety or NCRQ certificate.
- Knowledge and experience of health, safety and environmental management standards (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) (Desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working in a diverse, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
