The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. We are looking for a motivated and self-driven colleague with a strong technical foundation around software engineering, containers and Kubernetes and/or SAP Cloud Platform Integration.

What you bring

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer who is willing and able to quickly learn and explore new concepts and technologies, effectively working both independently and collaboratively.

In detail, you bring (some of) the following qualifications:

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong Java coding skills, solid understanding of OOP, data structures, design patterns, algorithms, multi-threading as a must.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, Docker and Linux as a strong advantage.
• Experience with Karaf runtime and Spring Boot.
• Experience with enterprise integration and Apache Camelis a plus.
• Ideally experience in adapter development in SAP Integration Suite / SAP Cloud Platform Integration.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English, coupled with emotional intelligence and cross-cultural communication awareness.
• Adaptable and reliable with strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven and reliable, with focus to execute and follow-up on tasks.

SAP Edge Integration Cell (EIC) is an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) product and is an optional part of the SAP Integration Suite. EIC introduces a hybrid deployment model for integration scenarios that enables customers to design and monitor integration content in the cloud and deploy and run the integration scenarios in the customers’ private landscape.

Our team contributes to the EIC product mainly with topics related to installation, operations, and monitoring. And as a new and in-focus topic - implementing new adapters for protocols that cannot be run in cloud infrastructure (like RFC, IDoc, JMS, file transfer, etc.).
