You will support our growing portfolio of Mass Transit projects across the North of England including work on the WYCA Mass Transit commissions and so key experience of work winning and developing enduring relationships is essential.
We are seeking anlevel expert with significant experience in either the delivery of Engineering Solutions or the development of Business Cases forStreet Based Tram / Bus Rapid Transit solutions- ideally through Transport and Works Order applications or similar powers. You’ll need proven capability in delivering such schemes through a sustainable, inclusive and place-based approach.
We’d like you to bring a track record of delivering successful
Mass Transit projects over a number of years while managing project teams (both people management and technical delivery), balanced with ensuring the commercial success of a portfolio of projects. Experience in the development of more junior staff within the management team is desirable. You should hold a degree, (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline and ideally be active within a professional institution at a chartered / senior level.
- Relevant sector and industry experience on various street level Mass Transit projects
- Experience working in a fast paced consultancy environment
- Developing and implementing business, operations or project growth and working with National and Local Government clients
- A strategic growth mindset, using business development acumen and a focus on the client, customers and delivery of objectives - delivering success across all project stages from bidding to contract delivery
- Winning and delivering work through relationship-based sales, project management excellence and technical leadership - building effective partnerships between sales and various operational teams
- Ability to reason, explain technical matters and positively deal with change - to manage and discuss complex technical matters with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
- Contract and commercial risk management
- Evidence of delivering projects that focus on Health & Safety, Sustainability and the Environment
