Our global FPGA team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality, and quality, as well as industry standards.

You will:

  • Be part of a collaborative and energized EE team to develop innovative solutions. Design next-generation HW features in partnership with front end teams and industry partners

  • Drive feature and cost trade-off analysis to provide technical recommendations. Provide design guidance to enable and support global teams

  • Deliver assigned system interfaces with design and process across extended teams

  • Prepare documentation for inspection/testing procedures

  • Design, develop and implement cost effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment

Essential Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. 8+ years’ experience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debugging with processor, memory, and I/O subsystems.

  • Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures. Advanced knowledge in Verilog/ System Verilog and HDL coding practices

  • Proficient with RTL design and simulation test benches. Experience in product development from early Concept through production

  • Strong fundamentals in both analog and digital design practices with desire to share knowledge and mentor others

  • Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues

Desirable Requirements

  • M.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. 8+ years’ experience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debugging with processor, memory, and I/O subsystems.

  • Experience with Enterprise Intel/AMD x86 Server design, including planar and system implementations. Experience with Lattice/Xilinx/Altera tool suites. Experience with scripting languages (Python/Batch). Experience with Verilog verification tools (Modelsim/QuestaSim). Experience with Git repository management
