Assistant Product Manager - AR/Treas/Collections
In this role you will support critical elements of the global operational stability of the SAP Finance Accounts Receivable and Treasury (SAP FI-AR/ TR) product suite. This includes monitoring, maintenance and resolution of systems incidents and outages as well as playing a role in the successful delivery/deployment of FI Controlling enhancements, configurations and product releases. Candidate must be a self-starter with global FI/SAP technical and business process experience.
This role will report to the Assistant Director, SAP FI-AR/TR Product Manager.
Your key responsibilities
Core
Understand and support documentation of business processes, workflows, and requirements to ensure ERP components align with organizational goals and operational needs.
Develop detailed functional specifications for SAP FI-AR/TR components, including user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for new features, configurations, technical fixes and enhancements.
Provide support to the lead Product Manager in their interactions with business / finance stakeholders and the technical team, facilitating communication and ensuring mutual understanding of requirements and constraints.
Support the product update and enhancement lifecycle with emphasis on demand, requirements, validation, and securing business signoff
Support requirements review, validation activities, test case reviews, and user acceptance testing for new features rolling out across SAP FI-AR/TR product suite
Ensure that SAP components adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Monitor the effectiveness of SAP components in supporting business operations and report on their impact and ROI.
Monitor impacts to other processes and products that may stem from changes they promote across the SAP FI-AR/TR product suite
Team with other Technical teams and business stakeholders to manage/monitor functional incidents and service requests through full lifecycle (through closure)
Provide technical incident, service request, and problem tickets management oversight and prioritization
Provides global, cross border major incident oversight and communicates status to the global business in a timely manner
Adheres to SLA compliance for all workloads and re-prioritizes tickets if necessary
Analyzes batch failures/errors and summarize findings in reports to lead Product Manager
Skills and attributes for success
5+ years of experience in a large business system environment, performing business analysis, business development, and/or project systems management
5+ years of experience in SAP FI-AR/TR solutions
Foundational knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and cash flow management to effectively manage AR processes.
Direct experience in supporting Finance Controlling operations for a global professional services organization (Big 4 experience preferred)
SAP certification preferred
History of working credibly with senior stakeholders
Exceptional verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to draft effective communications
Ability to work with people in a variety of cultures, countries and time zones
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, BOT Framework and Machine learning
To qualify for the role, you must have
Creative and self-starter mindset with strong analytical and quantitative skills to operate, at times, without direct supervision on multiple complex projects and tasks, and their shifting priorities in parallel.
Effective listening skills and display openness to other people's ideas and thoughts.
Ability to deal efficiently with escalations, conflicts and difficult situations/people under pressure.
English language skills – exceptional written and verbal communication.
Flexibility to work out of regular office hours to cater to the global organization needs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Prior experience working for a large, global organization with a complex environment
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in an ERP/SAP Financial Product function
Possession of a current (non-expired) professional, industry recognized certification preferred
