Job responsibilities

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
• Establishes a strong team built on firm values
• Implements best practises and processes for software development, ensuring efficiency, quality and scalability
• Makes decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
• Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
• Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
• Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
• Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and expert applied experience. In addition, advanced experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of experience
• Deep understanding of fullstack Java development, architecture, databases, and production related issues
• Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Practical cloud native experience
• Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in building microservices
• AWS certified
