What You'll Do
- You will be joining a growing team that builds Cloud Microservices for audio & video calling in Webex offerings and provide strong engineering leadership.
- Drive design & development of microservices and customer features with agile practices.
- Drive right CI/CD & Telemetry integrations for high availability and observability in kubernetes environment.
- Partner with Product Management and Architects in defining product roadmap & architecture.
- Mentor, Empower and Manage a highly technical team of engineers to build amazing services in the cloud and empower them to continuously learn, innovate.
- Collaborate with peer engineering leaders across the globe, build the big picture technology vision and help broaden the visibility of engineers’ innovations through right solutions for relevant problems.
- Establish, roll out and enforce industry standard best practices across design, development and operations of microservices.
- Hire great talent with the right fit for the team.
- Instill a culture of continuous learning, innovation, ownership, and accountability.
Who You Are
- Possess engineering degree with 10+ years of IT industry experience and 2+ years of people leadership experience.
- An exceptional engineering leader with hands-on experience in architecting scalable microservice and operating them in the cloud with devops practices.
- Possess strong communication and social skills with an ability to work effectively with cross functional teams across the globe.
- Have a track record of delivering high-quality software with predictability using software scoping and prioritization techniques.
- Have hired & led strong engineering teams who stands for quality.
- Understand modern agile practices and capable of building & fostering a high-performance culture.
- Have hands-on development experience on Java/Python/C++ microservices.
- Exposure to CI/CD and LMA tooling – Jenkins, Elastic Search, Kafka, Grafana, Kibana
- Working experience on Linux, Docker, Kubernetes & AWS
- Passionate to learn and contribute in collaboration domain – VOIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC
