Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early design to commercial deployment. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction daily so good communication, planning and execution skills are a must.

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs.

Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Looking for experienced embedded SW engineers interested in developing software for mobile devices.

Camera HAL3 driver development.

Strong knowledge in LA build Infrastructure.

Camera end-to-end use case design and feature implementation.

Strong knowledge on Image processing.

Debugging and resolution with existing code base.

Power and Performance optimization.

Design and Implement component unit test for developer validation, test cases, test scenarios, scripts, or procedures with the target to ensure the best coverage of the requirements for each component.

Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a component or modification of an existing component. Ensure that Backward compatibility is maintained for each component.

Profound understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture, Camera pipeline, memory subsystem architecture.

Bachelor’s (BE/BTech) or Master’s (MS/MTech) degree in in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 9+ years of experience.

Expertise in C & C++ programming languages.

Strong Knowledge of Android Camera or Image or Video processing.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Camera HAL3 development and Android camera frameworks.

Strong C & C++ programming and debugging skills required.

Strong Knowledge of Android Camera or Image or Video processing.

Strong knowledge in operating system fundamentals like virtual memory, CPU scheduling, process states, synchronization, etc.

Strong knowledge in concepts like RTOS, RAM/Cache, Interrupt handling, etc applied to embedded systems.

Strong debugging and analysis skills, including data and statistical analysis, and proficiency in performance & Power.

Strong communication skills - able to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Working Experience in any Multimedia technologies like camera/video framework is MUST.

Proficiency in version control tools and Git repository.

Good to have:

Hands on experience in Camera application development.

Knowledge of camera sensor bring up, 3A algorithms, tuning experience.

Familiarity with MIPI, I2C, GPIOs, etc.

Unit Test framework experience like CPPTest, GoogleTest.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to multitask in a quick paced environment.

Gathers, integrates, and interprets information across modules or sub-blocks of code from a variety of sources to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.

Serves as a technical leader within area of focus.

Quickly resolves highly complex software issues and bugs.

Communicates with project lead to provide status and information about impending obstacles and suggests remediation.

Identifies gaps in design, effort, etc., and closes the gaps.

Suggests strategies for solving issues during technical meetings.

Unit tests own code and performs integration testing to verify the stability and functionality of a large feature.

Manages project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for small projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
